The first trailer has dropped for Mike Flanagan’s TV reboot of Stephen King’s Carrie. Check it out below. The new show marks the latest remake of the iconic Stephen King horror novel, and comes on the heels of four film adaptations – the first of which being Brian De Palma’s 1976 movie, and the last being the 2013 remake starring Chloë Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore. Now, Mike Flanagan [Life Of Chuck and Doctor Sleep] is taking on a television reboot, and it is set to start streaming on Prime on October 7. The first trailer for the series is out now, and unlike some of the previous adaptations, it seems to bring the novel more into the modern world, with persistent bullying from her peers being largely accelerated by social media. Carrie is played by Summer H. Howell, and others in the cast include Siena Agudong, Alison Thornton, Joel Oulette, Josie Tota, Arthur Conti, Thalia Dudek, Amber Midthunder and Matthew Lillard.
