Wave Of Hospitalizations Follows Chainsmokers Show For The Second Time In Less Than A Month

Everyone knows it's dangerous to be in the presence of chainsmokers, but now it looks like it may be dangerous to be in the presence of the Chainsmokers. For the second time in less than a month, one of the DJ duo's shows sent a wave of people to the hospital.

First, on Aug. 9, nine people were injured and seven were hospitalized when bottles began flying into the crowd during the Chainsmokers' Afters set at the Splash House festival in Palm Springs. According to local police, the flying bottles were the result of a dispute that did not involved the injured parties. Almost a week later, a man was arrested for his role in the altercation that led to the flying bottles.

This past Friday night, Sept. 4, even more people ended up in the hospital during and after the Chainsmokers' show at Discovery Meadow in San Jose. Local police tweeted that 14 people were hospitalized due to alcohol or drug problems, ABC7 reports.
