Wendy’s shares new emo EP featuring members of Silverstein, Memphis May Fire and more

Wendy’s has shared their love of emo by dropping a new EP featuring members of Silverstein, Memphis May Fire and more. The American fast food chain teased an emo-inspired announcement earlier this month, dropping a reimagined version of their logo – showing the red-headed girl with heavy eyeliner, hair covering one eye, and swapping out her usual pigtail ribbons for black ones. Now, the chain has dropped a new EP, featuring six songs from emo artists that are made especially for the partnership, and see them singing about burgers, fries and more alongside some pretty standard themes for the genre. Artists featured on the release, titled ‘Songs to Listen to in a Wendy’s Parking Lot’, include singers from blessthefall, State Champs, Memphis May Fire, Anberlin, Holy Wars and Silverstein, and titles for the songs include ‘The Best Combo Meal on the Worst Night of My Life’ and ‘She Said She Didn’t Want Fries’. Outlets including Consequence also report that the EP comes as part of a new collaboration between the fast food chain and Rise Records, and that other artists featured in the release include Kat Leon, Matty Mullins, Shane Told, Derek DiScanio and Chloe Kinnon.
