Film fans have been picking their favourite guilty pleasure movies with Sony Pictures‘ Madame Web and Armageddon among those selected.
In a thread on Reddit, one user posted a question about guilty pleasure films. They wrote: “Sometimes, the movies we’re ‘supposed’ to dislike are the ones we love the most. What are your guilty pleasure movies – the ones that may not be perfect but still bring you joy?”
The user listed their favourites including Madame Web citing that it “is not a masterpiece, but its goofy, offbeat vibe makes it strangely fun to watch.” They added: “Similarly, Halloween Ends might have been a poor conclusion to the trilogy, but I still found myself having a good time with it, despite its flaws.”
Interestingly many fans listed the 1998 Michael Bay film Armageddon as their guilty pleasure, with one writing that the ending, in which Bruce Willis blows up an asteroid hurtling towards Earth, is what makes the film with one writing it “is very emotional considering the absurdity of the plot” while another added: “That scene where Harry (Willis) stays on the moon gets me every single time for the last 20 years.”
Others listed the Hugh Jackman led Van Helsing due to it being “over-the-top, cheesy, and completely ridiculous” while older films like 80s movies Big Trouble In Little China and the original Roadhouse movie starring Patrick Swayze were also listed.

It comes after fans previously listed the “weirdest” television shows ever made online from the likes of Twin Peaks to Future Man.
The thread garnered hundreds of replies, with users sharing their most beloved “weirdest” shows. One user described Future Man as “pretty weird” while others went for Twin Peaks, Maniac, Mrs. Davis and The Curse.
Meanwhile, Sydney Sweeney previously said she only did Madame Web “to build a relationship with Sony”.
The film received a negative reception and lead star Dakota Johnson criticised the film’s production and flop at the box office.
