What does Temporal Health in ‘Windrose’ mean?

Windrose has become a surprise hit after its surprise Early Access launch. The pirate themed survival game gives players a lot of what they have wanted from other games with some of the best naval combat, on-land combat, and survival mechanics in the genre.

One of those mechanics is Temporal Health, which adjusts your health regain. Here is a rundown of how it works and how to make the most of it.

Temporal Health in Windrose is a temporary chunk of your health that you can recover briefly after getting hit if you land attacks on enemies. This health is displayed on your health bar by a darkened red area, instead of being removed completely. Land those hits and you will recover that health.

This is very similar to many other action games which have implemented similar mechanics and allows you to continue fighting instead of backing away to heal.

“Windrose is a survival adventure set in an alternative Age of Piracy. It features the classic “build, craft, survive” formula along with intense combat and engaging exploration on land and sea.

Progress through vast procedurally generated biomes filled with hidden mysteries, hand-crafted dungeons and quests. Gather your crew and captain your ship through brutal naval combat with boarding actions and seamless transitions between ship and shore.

Defeat challenging bosses on your swashbuckling adventure driven by real-world characters and supernatural forces alike.”
