Whitney Rose says stepping away from alcohol helped her gain clarity about the issues in her marriage to Justin Rose.
During an appearance on Page Six Radio on Stars, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star opened up about how sobriety affected her decision to file for divorce.
“Clearly that’s why I was drinking. I was masking my marital problems,” Whitney said. “Taking that break really helped me process my emotions, gain clarity and understand where the problem was.”
“The problem wasn’t alcohol. The problem was my marriage,” she added.
Whitney added that her changed relationship with alcohol gave her a clearer view of what she wanted and needed moving forward.
“It helped me gain clarity on my feelings and what my needs are, my wants,” Whitney said.
Whitney filed for divorce after 17 years of marriage.
