Wiki Drops New Mixtape Papiseed Street Vol. 2

Earlier this year, the New York underground rap fixture Wiki released his truly excellent album Ancient History. On Saturday, he followed that record with a much more casual record: Papiseed Street Vol. 2, a casual mixtape full of samples. Wiki released the first Papiseed Street tape back in 2023, and he captures the same freewheeling feeling here.

Wiki has so much personality and charisma in his delivery. That always translates to his more considered songs, like the ones on Ancient History, but it shines through just as clearly on a fun fuck-around project like this one. On Papiseed Street Vol. 2, Wiki has a great time talking his shit over beats that flip hits from people like Big Pun, Ashanti, French Montana, the Bravehearts, and Company B. As with the first Papiseed Street, the voice of fellow New York dirtbag icon Oscar The Grouch hold the whole thing together. I'm listening for the first time right now, and I'm having a blast. Hear it for yourself below.
