Yummm Announce New Album Sillyputty: Hear “Plug” & “Yarrow”

A few weeks back Yummm, the band led by From Indian Lakes producer Matty Bedrosian, announced the new album Sillyputty with the release of its kickass lead single "Plug." I didn't get the chance to post that one, so now you get not one but two tasty Yummm tracks in your browser. The second Sillyputty preview "Yarrow" is out today. Whereas "Plug" was a hard-slapping, propulsive pop-rock track that reminded me of Bedrosian's work on Head Void (or Oso Oso riding a raging current), "Yarrow" shows off a smoldering side of the Yummm aesthetic, infusing subtle electronic touches into an understated rock ballad with notes of DIIV and Alex G at their most stripped-down. Some words from Bedrosian:This song is about the unpredictable power of a romantic fling, especially when feeling down on life and unsure of yourself. It is a celebration of the sense of abandonment that romance encourages, and a caution against abandoning yourself just for a rush of dopamine. Traditionally, the yarrow plant is used to stop the bleeding, not replace the blood.Hear both songs below.TRACKLIST:01 "Substance"02 "Juggling"03 "Buck"04 "Wriggle"05 "Hog Heaven"06 "Plug"07 "A Little Bit"08 "Yarrow"09 "Sillyputty"10 "...
