Ziúr details new soundtrack record De Brujas y Fantasmas

De Brujas y Fantasmas was conceived by Kianí del Valle – a San Juan-born, Berlin-based choreographer, dancer, and visual artist who has worked with Bad Bunny and Lorde – and Ziúr, whose experimental compositions were incubated on the fringes of the German capital's club scene. This follows her 2024 album Home, also released through KUBORAUM Editions, an "editorial project" and label. The score is paired with del Valle’s performance, which draws on the Mexican legend of La Llorona and the ritual practices of Mazatec shaman María Sabina. It also references Mary Wigman’s 1926 piece Hexentanz, reworking the German choreographer’s imagery to reconsider how marginalised women have been represented. The first single, “La Llorona De Noche”, is out now. De Brujas y Fantasmas was presented at the 61st Venice Biennale opening as part of Kuboraum’s “We Travel to Know Our Own Geography” programme. It will be performed again at Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin on 11 September during Berlin Art Week.
