Abby Elliott Breaks Down Her Childbirth Scene in ‘The Bear’

On a recent episode of Radio Andy’s “The Julia Cunningham Show,” special guest Abby Elliott discussed the upcoming Season 4 of “The Bear” and her character Natalie’s childbirth scene in the previous season.

“You see labor depicted in TV and movies, and it’s like screaming, and it’s all about the baby, and, ‘Oh, it hurts, the ring of fire,’ you know, and when I read the script, I was like, ‘Oh my god, this has nothing to do with the labor,'” Abby told Julia. “It’s literally just this backdrop for what is happening between these two characters, and the connection, and Sugar desperately needing Donna, and Donna needing to be there so badly and wanting to be there.”
