We get two new songs today from addy, the folksy indie-pop project of Philadelphia-based Ada Paige. Titled "cradle" and "fire, fire," the two tracks almost bleed together into one, the former's understated beauty giving way to a bit more oomph in the latter. They're co-produced by addy and longtime Lucy Dacus collaborators Collin Pastore and Jake Finch, full of plaintive, poetic vocals and rustic instrumentation that might appeal to fans of bands like Slaughter Beach, Dog and Pinegrove.
