In the description for “Zahl am1 live track 1c f760m1 unfinshd”, Aphex Twin — the alias of electronic artist and producer Richard D. James — writes: “got many requests for this one from a few years back, italy, pic with my love from scilly recently...need sun...relentlessly raining in uk...mixed down on the zahl, think theres better mixes, will upload if i find em,” — while “Zahl am1 live track 1” is simply described as “ambient mix”.
The mixes are accompanied by a cover photo of James and his partner in Scilly.
James’ last full-length Aphex Twin release was a compilation album in 2024, titled Music From The Merch Desk (2016 - 2023). Back in September, he also released an expanded edition of Surfing On Sine Waves — his 1993 debut under the moniker Polygon Window — which features four songs from a companion EP released in the same year, titled Quoth.
