Aziya unveils Virgin Suicides-inspired track, "call my name (lux lisbon)"

“call my name (lux lisbon)” is Aziya’s retelling from the female perspective of the second youngest sister, Lux Lisbon (played by Kirsten Dunst).

"Girlhood is a dangerous thing. That was my immediate thought after watching 'The Virgin Suicides' by 'Sofia Coppola'. When the movie ended I thought 'But what about Lux Lisbon? I have no idea how she felt in any of this, and I wish I did.' It made me want to tell her story, all the love, fear, innocence, vulnerability and firsts that you experience as a girl. It’s a song about learning when to build your walls up, and when it’s safe for you to let them down. It’s an insight into how it feels to be a girl sometimes," Aziya says.

The track follows “crush (tom verlaine)” documenting a chance encounter with an eternally cool and unapproachable crush, and "Party's Over", which followed Aziya’s second EP, LONELY CASTLES, which was released last year. The four track project included singles "atomic", "chain", the self-produced "wundagirl".
