Bad Bunny continues to be intentional when it comes to his art and homeland. His Puerto Rico residency is expected to generate over $200 million for the island.

As per Complex, Bad Bunny kicked off his 30-day residency in Puerto Rico on Friday (July 11). As expected, the show was everything his local fans expected and much more. CNN is reporting that while the live performance celebrated Puerto Rico’s rich history, it is also set to make a huge economic impact on the island. Discover Puerto Rico, their official tourism promotional arm, is estimating that his concert series will be bringing over $200 million dollars to La Isla del Encanto. The agency is basing the estimate on hotels booked that were packaged with ticket purchases; this does not include lodging that was reserved separately.

Discover Puerto Rico estimates that about 600,00 people will be traveling to the island, which is almost double of the visitors Puerto Rico receives in the summer. Additionally, the agency says that searches for flights to Puerto Rico also saw an increase of 12%. Kayak, a travel booking website, also reported a surge in flight prices and confirmed with CNN that the top three states searching were New York, Florida and California.

On Jan. 13 Bad Bunny announced No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí (transl. I Don’t Want To Leave Here) in support of his sixth album Debí Tirar Más Fotos. A couple of days later, tickets were made available for purchase; all 400,000 tickets for all 30 dates sold out in about four hours. You can see highlights from Bad Bunny’s first show below.
