BAFTA Games has revealed the longlist for the 2026 awards, with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Indiana Jones And The Great Circle and Hades 2 all in the running for Best Game.

The BAFTA Games Awards are set to take place on April 17 2026 and will “celebrate creative excellence in video games and the people who make them.” Ahead of the ceremony, more than 1700 BAFTA members have voted for their favourite video game and now the 2026 longlist has been revealed.
255 games released between 16 November 2024 and 14 November 2025 were considered by BAFTA members, with 64 making it to the longlist. All the games on the longlist are in the running for at least one nomination in the 17 BAFTA categories, with the nominations set to be unveiled in March.
The shortlist for Best Game has also been confirmed, with ten games making the cut. You can check out both lists below:

“The BAFTA Games Awards longlists offers a fantastic opportunity to spotlight the creativity and craft shaping this year’s games, ahead of nominations on 12 March,” said Tara Saunders, chair of BAFTA’s Games committee.
“It’s a moment to acknowledge the breadth of remarkable work recognised by our wonderful BAFTA games members – 1,700 industry professionals whose expertise and passion continue to drive the games industry forward. This list showcases a wide range of games to dive into over the holiday season, honours the teams behind these standout titles, and shines a light on the incredible skill across our whole industry.”
Next year will also see BAFTA Games In Concert hitting the road for a UK tour. The shows, which begin in January, will feature music from Baldur’s Gate 3, Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture, Assassin’s Creed, Tomb Raider: Legend, Cuphead, Hitman: Contracts, Journey, Helldivers 2, Fallout 4, Disco Elysium, Ori And The Will Of The Wisps, Returnal, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Far Cry 4, and Virginia.
In other news, the Game Music Festival has announced the final two more concerts taking place in London next summer – and it’s good news for Final Fantasy fans.
