Battlefield 6 has had a stellar first week, becoming the most successful game in the franchise and EA has no plans to stop supporting the game as new content is planned before the end of the month.

Here is a rundown of what you can expect from Battlefield 6 Season 1.

‘Battlefield 6’ Season 1 release date

Battlefield 6 Season 1 will release on October 28, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, as well as PC. The season will have several key content drop dates, with the first drop, Rogue Ops, on October 28, 2025. The second drop, California Resistance, will happen just three weeks later on November 18, 2025, with the third being a Christmas/winter-themed Seasonal content drop called Winter Offensive on December 9, 2025.

These all make up Season 1’s content before it comes to a close in January.

‘Battlefield 6’ Season 1 Maps

Season 1 will introduce two brand new maps. Blackwell Fields will arrive on October 28 and support all combat sizes, as well as land and air vehicles. The map takes place in a large open oil field in California with large expanses and very little cover, except in designated hotspots with buildings and vehicles.

The second map is Eastwood, arriving with California Resistance, which has you fighting through the wealthy California neighbourhood filled with tennis courts, expensive houses, and luxury gardens, all set against a rural hillside.

Finally, a winter-themed version of Empire State will arrive in the third content drop.

‘Battlefield 6’ Season 1 Modes, Gadgets, and Guns

Beyond that, Season 1 will add the new Strikepoint mode, which is a 4v4 round-base competitive mode where everyone only has one life.

Several guns will be added, including the SOR-300SC carbine, GGH-22 sidearm, Mini Scout sniper rifle, the DB-12 shotgun, and the M357 Trait sidearm. New gadgets and attachments like the TROY Angled stock and the rail cover and LPVO will be added alongside the Ice Climbing Axe as a melee weapon.

With California Resistance, EA will also be adding in Battle Pickups, which appear to be power weapons spread out on the map to use. On top of that, you can also look forward to a limited-time mode called Sabotage and the Ice Lock event in November and December. Finally, the Traverser Mark 2 vehicle will arrive on October 28.
