Emerging from Ireland’s bustling party scene, Ben Prophet began his music journey at an early age. Growing up surrounded by powerful sound systems, his early experimentations were defined by bold energy and booming basslines.

Over time, as his artistry has matured, his music has evolved into something darker and more immersive. Ben is now based in Newcastle, one of the UK’s thriving underground electronic hubs. He has gradually embraced a more atmospheric edge, drawing inspiration from his environment and channeling it into his forward-thinking sonic identity.

With a string of releases under his belt, Ben has collaborated with artists such as HAAi, Mall Grab, Skream, VTSS, and Kettama, notably completing a seven-date tour across Australia last year. As he continues to build a catalog of club-focused cuts resonating across the UK and beyond, he now makes his debut on HE.SHE.THEY with his latest EP, Wasp.

Releasing on HST is an absolute honour. After being a fan of the night and label for such a long time, getting the opportunity to be part of such an amazing family is mind blowing. When first being approached for the label I knew which tracks would suit this home perfectly and I’m so happy it’s all come together.

Opening track “Sprout” introduces a personal touch inspired by his experience at Cork City Jazz Festival. Its tight structure is paired with bright synth stabs and propulsive beats, creating a sense of character.

From there, “Sky Of Love” shifts into industrial-leaning percussion as Ben moves into deeper and darker terrain. Punctuated by a driving vocal, the track sustains a steady four on the floor momentum, firmly locking in the groove.

Closing out the EP, the title track “Wasp” showcases the rising artist’s refined production craft. It delivers a peak-time moment designed for maximum intensity on the dancefloor.
