Big Bang singer Daesung has announced plans to release new solo music next month.
On March 17, Big Bang’s Daesung announced his upcoming first mini-album, titled ‘D’s Wave’. The record will notably be the singer’s first-ever Korean record, having released two Japanese albums and three Japanese EPs from 2013 to 2017.
The K-pop star’s last solo music releases were the singles ‘Flow’ and ‘Falling Slowly’, which came out in 2023 and 2024 respectively. Last year, he also reunited with bandmates Taeyang and G-Dragon on the latter’s single, ‘Home Sweet Home’.
Daesung’s upcoming mini-album ‘D’s Wave’ will be released on April 8 at 6pm KST. More details about the project, including its lead single, tracklist and more, are expected in the coming weeks.

‘Home Sweet Home’ has since made it onto G-Dragon’s latest solo album ‘Übermensch’. The record received a glowing four-star review from NME‘s Rhian Daly, who praised the record for being “firmly on par with G-Dragon’s best work and yet more proof of his unwavering greatness”.
In support of the new album, G-Dragon is set to embark on his first world tour in eight years in 2025. He will also be joining Asian-American music label 88rising’s Head In The Clouds Festival in Los Angeles this May as a headliner, billed as his “exclusive 2025 North American festival performance”.
