Fan behavior at concerts has worsened significantly since the pandemic, as we’ve seen numerous instances of audience members pelting performers with everything from bras to bracelets to cell phones. Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong became the latest target of this trend during the band’s headlining set at Germany’s Hurricane Festival over the weekend, when someone in the front row apparently repeatedly shot a water gun directly into his face. Armstrong eventually had enough and paused the show to confront the fan directly.
