K-pop girl group Billlie have returned with a new IU-written single ‘remembrance candy’, from their new mini-album ‘appendix: Of All We Have Lost’.

‘remembrance candy’, the lead single of Billlie’s new mini-album ‘appendix: Of All We Have Lost’, was notably penned by K-pop singer-songwriter IU. Speaking about the collaborator at a recent press event for the record’s release, Moon Sua said that IU “had been paying attention to us, which led to this opportunity”.

“We were really thankful because we are all fans of hers,” she added, per Korea Times. “When we heard the news, we were all excited and motivated to work even harder. It felt like a dream come true.”

Meanwhile, the new visual opens with the girl group looking lost and downcast as they spend time apart. As they unwrap and eat pieces of brightly coloured candy, they are transported back into their fondest memories together.

Softly, as if the sweetness fills my mouth / Freshly, the sweet look spreads / Dizzily, it’s a dizzy but pretty flavor / Oh, it’s so mystical, I have a faint hunch / To the moment before I feel this memory / I probably wouldn’t go back,” they sing in the chorus.

‘appendix: Of All We Have Lost’ marks their first release as a full group since March 2023. Members Moon Sua and Suhyeon took a hiatus from the group last year due to personal and health issues.

“It’s been a while since we all practiced together. We prepared joyfully, thinking about how to show a great performance to the fans who waited for us,” said Moon.

Meanwhile, Suhyeon shared: “I thank my bandmates for filling my vacancy and working hard to keep Billlie shining during my recovery. I’m happy that we can now perform together again.”

In other K-pop news, BLACKPINK singer Rosé and Bruno Mars shared photos together from a night of drinking games, sparking rumours of an upcoming collaboration. The pair are both signed with Atlantic Records.
