Billy Corgan and Other Rock Stars Attend Marilyn Manson’s Birthday Party

The embattled Marilyn Manson celebrated his 56th birthday on January 5th with a party attended by The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan and James Iha, Filter’s Richard Patrick, Falling in Reverse’s Ronnie Radke, and Mötley Crüe’s John 5, among others.

Photos and videos from the evening posted by Manson associate Vanessa Alexandra on Instagram, as well as the IG account marilynmanson.gallery, show the shock rocker’s fellow rock stars in attendance. In one of the videos, a large group of partygoers sing “Happy Birthday” to Manson, who tells the crowd that he’s also celebrating four years of sobriety.

Interestingly, Corgan and Manson were in a long-running feud after Manson told the Smashing Pumpkins frontman that he looked like Charlie Brown. However, they settled their differences in 2014 when they performed together onstage.

Also worth noting is that James Iha and Manson are brothers-in-law, as they are married to sisters Ashley Usich and Lindsay Usich, respectively.

Manson has faced numerous sexual assault lawsuits and accusations over the past four years, starting with allegations by his ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood, who stated in February 2021, “I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.”

A couple months ago, Manson dropped a defamation lawsuit against Wood, agreeing to pay her $327,000 in attorneys’ fees. Over the past couple of years, lawsuits brought on by other women accusing Manson of abuse have been settled, dismissed, or are still ongoing.

Upon the initial wave of accusations against Manson, he was dropped by his record label at the time. He since inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records, and released the new album One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1 in November 2024.

Manson also returned to the stage as support for Five Finger Death Punch on their summer 2024 North American tour, marking his first shows in five years.
