It has been well over 30 years since the great New York indie rock trio Blonde Redhead released their debut album, and it has been just over a year since then ended their Coachella set with a powerful statement of solidarity with Palestinian people. They're a band with a great history, and they're ready to add to it today, as they follow their 2023 album Sit Down For Dinner with the new single "Blood Spilled."Like many Blonde Redhead tracks, "Blood Spilled" is a lush, gorgeously oblique sprawl that creates its own kind of atmosphere.
