At the kickoff of Willie Nelson’s “Outlaw Music Festival Tour” in Phoenix on Tuesday, May 13th, Bob Dylan made his co-headlining set a memorable one by closing with a cover of The Pogues’ “A Rainy Night in Soho.” It marked his first-ever live performance of the Shane MacGowan-penned classic.

Dylan began his 13-song set at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre with 1967’s “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight” before grabbing his guitar for “It Ain’t Me, Babe.” The folk legend then zoomed four decades forward in his discography for his first performance of “Forgetful Heart” in 10 years.

After that, Dylan debuted covers of “Axe and the Wind” by George “Wild Child” Butler and “(Get Your Kicks On) Route 66” by Bobby Troup alongside his own classics “All Along the Watchtower” and “Mr. Tambourine Man” — the latter of which he performed for the first time since 2010. See fan-shot videos and the full setlist below.

Spanning 36 dates, the “Outlaw Music Festival Tour” is co-headlined by Nelson and Dylan, with a rotating all-star lineup including Billy Strings, Wilco, Sheryl Crow, The Avett Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, and Waxahatchee. Get tickets to upcoming shows here.
