Bon Dylan: Justin Vernon Plays Bob Dylan Covers Set At Eaux Claires 2026

This year's Eaux Claires lineup included an interesting name: Bon Dylan. In April, we discovered it was Bon Iver doing a Bob Dylan covers set. That went down last night, which was the first day of the Wisconsin music festival at Carson Park.Vernon had not one but two sets at the festival; Kevin Morby had to drop off last-minute because of Katie Crutchfield giving birth to their baby (good reason to drop off!). For Bon Dylan, he played 15 songs from the legend's catalogue, and was joined by guests like Phil Cook, Monica Martin, and S. Carey. The setlist was '60s-heavy, and it wasn't his first time playing many of these tunes. Vernon and friends previously did a bunch of Dylan covers under the name Bob Iver. His additional set of his own songs was acoustic and short, but he kicked it off with a cover of Morby's "Die Young" and did an unreleased song he wrote in honor of John Prine called "Room To Spare." The night also had Aaron Dessner doing a set with Fred Again..
