Bonnaroo Offers Full Refunds, Won’t Set Future Dates for Now

Bonnaroo has now offered full refunds to those who were hoping to attend last weekend’s 2025 iteration before it was canceled due to extreme weather, and has declined to set any future dates.

In a statement posted to social media, the beloved festivals’ organizers alluded to dissatisfaction with the 75% refund they offered to those who had 4-day tickets upon the initial cancellation. Writing that they are “still listening and actively discussing plans to improve The Farm,” they announced that they are “updating the refund to 100%, rather than the 75% originally offered.”

The statement also suggested that the festival may take some time off, reading, “At this time, we will not be announcing future dates. When plans for the future take shape, you all will be the first to know.”

Elsewhere in the statement, the organizers wrote, “Everyone who works on this show loves Bonnaroo deeply,” and explained that “This cancellation broke our hearts beyond measure, but we knew it had to happen for your safety.” They also thanked fans for their “patience and perseverance through this difficult situation.”

Bonnaroo 2025 was supposed to feature a 4-day lineup with performances by Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, Hozier, Vampire Weekend, Queens of the Stone Age, Justice, Tyla, Goose, Megadeth, Raye, Wallows, Foster the People, and more. The festival’s first day occurred as-planned, but the decision to cancel the remainder was made on Friday night in light of extreme weather forecasts.

This is the third time in the past five years that Bonnaroo has been canceled, following a cancelation in 2020 for COVID and another in 2021 due to unsafe conditions caused by Hurricane Ida.

In response to Bonnaroo’s cancelation, the Capitol Groove Festival — set to occur on June 28th and 29th in Hartford, Connecticut — is offering free entry to all Bonnaroo ticket holders.
