Bono has become the latest Rock and Roll Hall of Famer to speak out in support of Bruce Springsteen amidst Donald Trump’s online attacks against the Jersey rocker. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the U2 vocalist responded to a question about who he is siding with by saying, “There’s only one Boss in America.”
Earlier this month, Bono himself was targeted by Trump when the US president said he was calling for a “major investigation” into whether Springsteen, Bono, Beyoncé, and Oprah Winfrey made “illegal campaign contributions” in support of Kamala Harris.
Bono joins the likes of Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, Neil Young, and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello in making public statements showing solidarity with Springsteen. For more, read our Consequence chat about why Springsteen getting under Trump’s skin truly matters.
