Boston’s Iconic Debut Album To Be Reissued with “Long Lost” Demos

Boston has announced a 50th anniversary edition of their legendary self-titled debut album due out in 2027. The news came on the actual 50th anniversary of the album’s release (August 25th). The reissue is set to contain the “long lost” demos bandleader Tom Scholz presented to labels to get his band signed. Scholz, an MIT graduated, famously recorded much of the album himself in his apartment, modifying equipment and producing unique guitar effects using his engineering degree to shape the iconic sound of the debut. These restored and remastered demos have never been released to the public before despite the legend behind their story.
