Set in 1977, eight years after the events of the original movie, the new film finds Cliff in a markedly different Hollywood. “Murder, blackmail, theft, extortion – just another summer in Hollywood,” reads the official synopsis. After previously working as the stunt double and general right-hand man to Leonardo DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton, Cliff is now earning money as a bartender and projectionist while also working as an unofficial Hollywood fixer, using his “occasionally extralegal” talents to resolve problems for people in the industry.
