Brandon Blackstock, music manager and ex-husband of Kelly Clarkson, has died following a battle with cancer. He was 48 years old.
Blackstock had been privately battling cancer for over three years. Clarkson revealed his illness on Wednesday while announcing the postponement of her Las Vegas residency, explaining that she wanted to be “fully present” for their two children during this time.
Clarkson and Blackstock were married from 2013 to 2020, during which time he also managed her music career. He additionally represented others including Blake Shelton.
Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas.
While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.
