Martin Garrix, Wenzday, Daily Bread, and Elderbrook all appear on the Breakaway NorCal lineup ahead of its fall 2025 debut.
Allow us to set the record straight: Breakaway Music Festival has organized events in Northern California before. But last month, the nationwide festival brand announced the debut of a gathering dubbed Breakaway NorCal at the Cal Expo Center on October 11-12. And now, organizers have shared nearly all of the lineup in full.
As anyone paying attention to Breakaway would likely expect, a handful of EDM’s biggest names are on the bill. Dutchmen Tiësto and Martin Garrix — who each broke through during vastly different dance music eras — will lend their larger-than-life star power to the cause. UK artist Elderbrook and US duo Louis The Child can also be expected to dish out accessible fare, albeit by entirely different approaches.
But the undercard is arguably where the Breakaway NorCal lineup shines. Bass heads can look forward to experimental icon Daily Bread, early dubstep don Rusko, live virtuoso OPIUO, and genre blender Jon Casey. Fans of the various flavors of house music have been appeased by the likes of Kasablanca, Wenzday, and CHYL, and Malaa will even lend his Alter Ego drum and bass project for the cause.
At the time of writing, two names on the most recent lineup graphic are blurred out. With more than three months to go until Breakaway NorCal lands in Sacramento, organizers have ample opportunity to let these announcements trickle out when the time is right.
Breakaway Music Festival first took place in Columbus, Ohio in 2013 — long before its expansion to states like Michigan, and Dallas, Phoenix, and Florida was a glimmer in anyone’s eye. Recently, the touring festival brand announced its Alabama debut, and it’s even landed in clubs like Wynn Las Vegas.
Presale tickets to Breakaway NorCal go live today, June 26, at 10am, and the general on-sale starts on Friday, June 27 at 10am. Visit the Breakaway Music Festival website for more information.
