Brownies & Lemonade Announces DNBNL LA Block Party

At the end of the summer, Brownies & Lemonade is celebrating five years of its DNBNL event series with an indoor-outdoor event in Los Angeles.

Can you believe it’s been five years since Brownies & Lemonade launched its drum and bass-focused DNBNL party series? The promoter just started celebrating the anniversary at Treasure Island in San Francisco, and it’s keeping the party going with the first-ever DNBNL LA Block Party at Mateo Warehouse in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, September 12.

“We’re finally returning to Los Angeles in a big way by shutting down a block with a two-stage, day-to-night drum and bass rave,” reads a social media post from Brownies & Lemonade. The outfit promises “a world-class lineup of DNB heavy hitters and favs,” but no performing artists have been announced at the time of writing.

Brownies & Lemonade organized its first house parties in Los Angeles in 2012, eventually becoming renowned for hosting events in novel locations like a laundromat, an abandoned zoo, and even an elevator. The first edition of DNBNL took place at a Dave & Busters in Hollywood in February 2022, and the event brand has been adapted for gatherings in cities like San Francisco, Denver, Washington, DC, and Miami in the years since.

DNBNL LA Block Party promises “an immersive indoor/outdoor experience” that will set it apart from previous installments of the series. Among other draws, the gathering will offer food, drinks, vendors, activations, art, and new merch.
