BTS have withdrawn their music from the 69th annual Grammy Awards. The seven-member K-pop group—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jungkook, Jimin—all shared the same statement on their personal Instagram Stories on Wednesday, noting that they “have decided not to submit for Grammy consideration this year.”“We hope our music can be heard and loved for what it is, rather than being divided by region or language. We thank Army and everyone who has always stood by us,” they added.The announcement comes a month after the Recording Academy announced the first Best Asian Pop Music Performance category, part of five new nominations meant to take effect during the 69th Grammy Awards on February 7, 2027.“This category recognizes artistic excellence in Asian pop music performances originating from or widely recognized within Asian markets, including but not limited to K-pop, J-pop and C-pop, with meaningful use of one or more Asian languages.
