Calva Louise just released their brand new single, "Aimless," ahead of their upcoming record, Edge of The Abyss, out July 11th via Mascot Records.
Having previously released singles, "Under The Skin," "La Corriente," and "W.T.F," the internationally-based three piece incorporate elements from pianos to synthesisers to dirty vocals throughout their newest material.
Calva Louise's upcoming record features eleven tracks, coping with reality through fictitious stories created by the group's Venezuelan frontwoman, Jess Allanic. The accompanying music videos for their singles grapple with this idea of fictional characters finding their way through different dimensions whilst encountering otherworldly beings, depicted by animations designed by Allanic.
Alongside the fictional elements, Allanic incorporates pieces of her Venezuelan heritage through Spanish influenced guitars and pianos, alongside tracks written in Spanish.
With the record not due out until July 11th, Calva Louise is currently on tour with Bloodywood for their Return of the Singh Tour, opening for the Indian metal band in celebration of their newest record, Nu Metal.
