Cardi B Shares New Single “Imaginary Playerz”: Stream

Cardi B has unleashed a new single, “Imaginary Playerz.” Stream it below.

The new single follows the track “Outside,” which the rapper dropped this summer. Both songs will feature on her long-awaited second album, I Am the Drama, which is scheduled for release on September 19th via Atlantic Records (pre-order here).

Cardi B has been teasing the new tune on social media, officially announcing it earlier this week with an Instagram post: “Just a lil taste of the drama. IMAGINARY PLAYERS THIS FRIDAY.”

She also said that the new song, which shares a title with one from Jay Z’s second studio album, 1997’s In My Lifetime, Vol. 1, was approved by “the one and only,” implying that Shawn Carter gave her tune the thumbs-up.

The rapper has revealed that I Am the Drama will contain her Hot 100 No. 1 singles “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion from 2020, and “Up” from 2021.

“‘WAP’ and ‘Up’ are two of my biggest songs, my fans have been asking me to put them on an album, and people search for them on IOP all the time,” she explained on Twitter. “They deserve a home.”
