Cat Power is prepping to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her milestone 2006 album, The Greatest, with a new EP and 2026 tour dates.
The three-song EP, titled Redux, features Cat Power backed by Dirty Delta Blues, the all-star super-group assembled for the world tour that followed The Greatest comprising guitarist Judah Bauer, keyboardist Gregg Foreman, bassist Erik Paparozzi, and drummer Jim White. It was recorded by Grammy-winning engineer and longtime collaborator Stuart Sikes at Church House Studios in Austin, Texas.
Redux includes a recording of James Brown classic, “Try Me,” Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U,” recorded in tribute to the late guitarist Teenie Hodges, and a “re-imagined” version of The Greatest track, “Could We,” newly recorded in the arrangement that was performed live on “The Greatest Tour” with Dirty Delta Blues. The EP is set for release digitally and 10-inch vinyl on January 23rd via Domino Recording Company. Listen to “Try Me” below.
Cat Power will follow Redux by performing The Greatest in its entirety with a very special series of 20th anniversary live shows beginning February 12th, 2026, in Houston, Texas, and then traveling North America, Europe, and the UK through early November.
Ticket pre-sales begin November 5th and 6th, with general on-sales set for Friday, November 7th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Additional dates will be announced. Get details and more information here.
