Cheap Trick have announced their new album, All Washed Up, out November 14th via BMG. As a preview, they have shared lead single “Twelve Gates.” Stream it below.
Marking their 21st studio album, All Washed Up was co-produced by the band with Julian Raymond and mixed by Chris Lord Alge. It was recorded throughout 2024 at studios in Nashville (Sound Emporium Studios, Blackbird, Love Shack, Zen) and Los Angeles (Sweetzerland Studios). Pre-orders are ongoing.
In a statement, lead singer/guitarist Robin Zander simply described the upcoming release as “just one more great album from the best rock band in the world.”
Meanwhile, the upbeat “Twelve Gates” conveys an optimistic perspective with lyrics like, “Maybe, maybe a change of heart/ Maybe it’s just a brand new start/ Can you feel it going ’round?/ A new taste coming, coming down.”
“Our newest single release, ‘Twelve Gates,’ from the 2025 LP All Washed Up, is one of our best yet,” bassist Tom Petersson said about the single. “I really love how this song came out. It’s one of my favorites on the album.”
Earlier this week, Cheap Trick added a batch of fall tour dates, which will follow the remainder of their summer shows and be sandwiched around a handful of previously announced dates supporting Heart. See the full schedule below, and get tickets here.
