Sassy 009 and yunè pinku have teamed up to share the captivating new single, ‘Mirrors’ – check it out below.
The new track is the latest to be taken from the Scandinavian artist’s (real name Sunniva Lindgård) debut album, ‘Dream+’, which is set to be released on January 16 via HEAVEN-SENT / [PIAS].
It also marks the final new song to be shared from Sassy 009 this year, and sees Lindgård join up with Malaysian-Irish producer and singer yunè pinku.
In the song, the two capture a shimmering, downtempo feel throughout, and introduce hypnotic vocals over the top as they explore the theme of a recurring dream, where “you can’t tell where the way out is – you just see different angles of yourself.”

The upcoming LP sees the Oslo based electronic and alt-pop singer put forward a concept album, and has been in the works for nearly four years.
It will come steered by nods to ‘90s beatronica, hyperpop, grunge, shoegaze and more, and looks to tackle themes of self-discovery and acceptance throughout.
Lindgård has said that the project is one that has been in development for years now and has taken on various forms, before landing on the final, finished product set to drop in the new year.
Before ‘Mirrors’ was dropped, Sassy 009 shared the opening track from the record, ‘Butterflies’, as well as a song called ‘Enemy’ and a track titled ‘Tell Me’ which featured contributions from Blood Orange. In the tracklist, there are 12 songs in total, and one of which is called ‘Sleepwalker’s Pendulum’ and features BEA1991.

Back in 2018, Sassy 009 (then a band consisting of three people) were named by NME as being one of the best new bands of the year, and described as a “Flute-loving Norwegian trio who take pop to strange new heights”. After catching their set at Øya Festival, we also said they were a “weird, wonderful, and a very happy discovery”.
