On today’s episode of Radio Andy’s “Andy Cohen Live,” Senator Cory Booker revealed he didn’t like the acclaimed HBO series “The Sopranos” that’s set in his home state of New Jersey, talked about his significant other and how they watch “Love Is Blind” and “White Lotus” together, and discussed wearing Hoka sneakers during his 25-hour Senate speech.
“I’m going to get myself in deep trouble in my own home state to tell you that I wasn’t a big fan of ‘Sopranos,’” Cory told Andy and John Hill.
“Because I like to have somebody I can cheer for,” he continued. “This is why I love sci-fi, I love the ‘Star Trek’ universe. I love the Marvel universe. I like heroes, I like somebody that’s some kind of imperfect, rugged, determined person that finds a way out of no way.”
Cory also shared that he and his significant other are living together and he is “agonizing” over finishing “The White Lotus” with her because “none of the characters are inspiring.”
“I have a significant other… We moved in together. It’s a wonderful thing. And she’s a really special, extraordinary person,” the New Jersey senator said.
Additionally, Cory reflected on sporting black Hokas during his record-breaking speech earlier this year, even though you’re not supposed to wear sneakers in the Senate.
“[Sneakers have] quickly and slowly gotten to be the wear of a lot of us,” he said. “But you can’t have them be flashy sneakers. Although one of my favorite senators in the world, Ben Ray Lujan, I think is pushing that by bringing some bling to his sneakers on the floor.”
