Danger Mouse will not join CeeLo Green on Gnarls Barkley’s upcoming North American tour, despite the run initially being announced as the duo’s first tour in 18 years. The ‘To Whom It Still Concerns’ tour was announced last week, initially advertised as featuring both Green and Danger Mouse, with the trek being described as Gnarls Barkley’s first run of live dates since 2008. However, Green has now clarified in a social media post that Danger Mouse – real name Brian Burton – will not be taking part in the shows. “Danger Mouse will not be performing,” he wrote. “We want no misunderstandings / disappointments etc.” Green described Burton as his “producer” and “business partner”, adding that “whatever he decides for himself is his right” and that the pair support each other. “He will be there in spirit,” Green added, while also telling fans that the upcoming run “probably won’t happen again”.
