Gibson Custom has teamed up with Dave Grohl to launch a new, limited-edition signed guitar.

Dubbed the Dave Grohl DG-335 Limited Edition, the Gibson Custom has been made in close collaboration with the Foo Fighters frontman, and is limited to just 50 models that will be available on the manufacturer’s website and in Nashville and London Gibson Garages.

The model is based on the Alpine White version of his iconic DG-335, which he has used at Foo Fighters shows around the world since 2021.

In the new launch, the Custom has the same Alpine White gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and has seen Grohl himself blend elements of the ES-335™ and Trini Lopez designs.

Other features include a semi-hollow three-ply maple/poplar/maple body, bound diamond-shaped sound holes, a mahogany neck, carved to a standard Trini Lopez profile, bound Indian rosewood fretboard, a Firebird/Trini Lopez–style headstock and more.

Hardware includes a TonePros ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles, a locking TonePros Stop Bar tailpiece, and unpotted Custombuckers with aged Alnico 3 magnets, and each of the 50 guitars comes with a Gibson Custom hardshell case and a soundhole label signed by Dave Grohl.

It is currently listed for £10,499 on Gibson’s website. Visit here for more information.

The new Gibson Custom model arrives after Grohl teamed up with Epiphone to launch a signature version of his DG-335 with a Pelham Blue finish in spring 2024.

It also marks the latest star-studded collaboration from Gibson this autumn. Last month, the manufacturer worked with Noel Gallagher to launch a new limited edition Les Paul Standard guitar in celebration of Oasis’ ‘Live ‘25’ comeback shows, and before then it shared details of its exclusive ES-345 guitar collection to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Back To The Future.

Foo Fighters recently wrapped up a few gigs in South America, and will be heading over to the UK and Europe next summer for live shows in Stockholm, Paris, Liverpool and more.

They will also headline the 10th anniversary edition of Madrid’s Mad Cool festival alongside Pulp, Florence & The Machine, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

In August 2026, Grohl and co. will kick off their US headline shows with Queens Of The Stone Age. Visit here for UK tickets, and here for international tickets.

These gigs will mark some of their first shows since enlisting Ilan Rubin as drummer. Before he joined, the sticksman was previously part of Nine Inch Nails’ line-up.

He replacedJosh Freese, who was the first drummer to join Foo Fighters since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022. Freese has gone on to take Rubin’s spot in NIN.
