Deftones are currently on the first leg of their US tour, with their next show being tonight (March 12) at the Moody Center in Austin, TX. You can check out a full list of remaining tour dates here.
They also recently added three new European shows as part of their upcoming summer tour plans. The new dates follow the previously added massive summer gigs Deftones have announced back in December. They will play at The Piece Hall in Halifax on June 24 as part of the historic venue’s summer concert series and are scheduled to play at the Eden Project in Cornwall on June 26 for the 2025 Eden Sessions. They also previously announced a big gig at Crystal Palace Park in London on June 29.
Deftones’ other summer tour dates include Primavera Sound Porto, Rock Werchter and Roskilde. They will also return to the US for Louder Than Life Festival and Shaky Knees Festival.
Back in September 2023, Deftones teased an upcoming full-length album – potentially slated for a 2024 release – which would follow on from 2020’s ‘Ohms’. Guitarist Stephen Carpenter said at the time that the group were “starting to work on new material for a new record”.
This April, Deftones gave fans an update on the forthcoming full-length project. “[We] have a whole record recorded all musically,” explained Moreno. “And it’s pretty much my job right now to finish up the vocals.”
But the vocalist said he didn’t want to “put a definite timeframe” on the album’s release, adding: “We’re not really in a rush. We want it to be great. I think that’s most important. But it is coming, and, yeah – it’s really good.”
Elsewhere, Deftones are set to play two nights at the Rogers Stadium in Toronto as special guests for System Of A Down’s upcoming North American stadium tour.
