DEICIDE Cancels Their Remaining Shows Due To Hurricane Milton

Deicide has understandably cancelled the last three shows of their tour with Krisiun, Inferi, and Cloak due to Hurricane Milton threatening their home state of Florida. Deicide posted the following update on the night of October 7 announcing the cancellation, as well as their plans to return home early that same night.

Deicide wrote: "Due to the pending landfall of hurricane Milton on central Florida and the gulf coast , we will be leaving the tour after the performance today in Corpus Christi Texas and heading back to the state of Florida to protect our families and properties, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your understanding, Houston, New Orleans and Pensacola will be canceled to allow us time to return to our families and homes. We will be playing early tonight 8 to 9 so hurry out tonight!"

Hurricane Milton is poised to hit central Florida as a Category 4 storm on Wednesday, October 9. Milton comes shortly after hurricane Helene hammered northern Florida and the Carolinas, causing folks like Cannibal Corpse's Erik Rutan to leave for home and assess the damage.

According to the National Hurricane Center: "Maximum sustained winds are near 145 mph (230 km/h) with higher gusts. Milton is an extremely dangerous category 4 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. While fluctuations in intensity are expected, Milton is forecast to remain an extremely dangerous hurricane through landfall in Florida."

Here's hoping everyone in the area stays safe.
