Veteran metal band Demon Hunter has unveiled a powerful new single and music video, "Sorrow Light The Way", marking their latest release through their independent label, Weapons MFG. The track is now available on all major streaming platforms, further building anticipation ahead of the band’s appearances at Louder Than Life and Aftershock festivals later this year.
Like May’s "I'm Done" and June’s "Light Bends", the video for "Sorrow Light The Way" was directed by Demon Hunter frontman Ryan Clark. All three singles were produced by Clark and longtime guitarist Jeremiah Scott, and mixed and mastered by Chris "Zeuss" Harris, known for his work with Rob Zombie, Hatebreed, and Queensrÿche.
"Sorrow Light The Way" is Demon Hunter’s eighth standalone single since the release of their eleventh studio album, Exile, in October 2022. It follows a string of post-Exile releases, including "The Brink", "Some Of Us", "Worlds Apart", "Black Stained Glass", and "Falling Apart" (featuring Set The Sun). Released via Weapons MFG, Exile marked a major moment for Demon Hunter. The album debuted at No. 9 on Billboard’s Album Sales Chart, and topped the Christian Albums chart, while also ranking No. 3 in Hard Music and Independent Albums, and No. 4 in Rock.
Demon Hunter frontman Ryan Clark also just announced a deluxe collected edition of his dystopian sci-fi comic series Exile via a new partnership with Z2 Comics. Exile is being re-released as a premium hardcover compilation, bundled with an exclusive vinyl 7" featuring four songs previously released only on flexi-disc: "I Align," "The Brink," "Some Of Us," and "World’s Apart."
The 12" hardcover deluxe collection includes:
- All four original Exile issues
- Four 24" posters
- An exclusive orange 7-inch vinyl, featuring songs previously released only on flexi-disc
A limited number of Platinum Editions, hand-signed by Ryan Clark, will be available exclusively through Z2 Comics. Get 'em here.
