The White Lotus might be billed as an anthology series with a different cast each season, but certain characters have had recurring roles on the show.
The character which connects all three seasons so far is Greg (Jon Gries), whose turbulent relationship with Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge) stems all the way back to the first season in Hawaii.
Other characters have been caught up in Tanya’s whirlwind too, namely Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) and Portia (Haley Lu Richardson). The former makes a return appearance in season three, set in Thailand, where she encounters Tanya’s ex-husband Greg.
Other cast members in the third season include Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
Who killed Tanya in The White Lotus season 2?

In the finale, we discover Greg had devised a plot to kill his wife Tanya aboard a yacht owned by his longtime friend Quentin. Tanya, however, clocks onto the plan when she finds a bag with a gun, rope, and duct tape inside, leading to a chaotic shootout where she manages to kill Quentin and his goons aboard the yacht.
While Tanya manages to survive the attack, her victory is cut short when she falls over a railing on the yacht and fatally bashes her head against the side of a small boat. While Tanya’s death is technically an accident, the whole situation was caused by Greg so he could inherit her wealth.
Do they address Tanya’s death in season 3?
In the third episode, Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) refers to an ex-wife of Greg’s, now called Gary, that he “never talks about” during a conversation with Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood). In this story, Chloe says she heard from Greg that his ex “was so depressed she couldn’t take it anymore” and one day, the woman “walked out into the ocean and kept going and never came back”.
While this isn’t what happened to Tanya, this suggests Greg has possilbly covered up her death as a suicide – unless he has a long string of exes who have died in suspicious circumstances.
