DIIV Announce New A. G. Cook-Produced Album ZIRP!

A. G. Cook has been silently dominating 2026. The producer has had his hand in a bunch of major projects this year, including working with best pal Charli XCX for the soundtrack of A24 film and pop mockumentary The Moment and then her thought-provoking seventh studio album Music, Fashion, Film. He also reissued music he worked on with Danny L Harle from their project Dux Content. Now he's continuing his stellar streak of collaborations. Yesterday, shoegaze group Diiv announced they've got an album called ZIRP! coming out October 30, produced by Cook. No singles or sound clips have been released in relation to ZIRP!, although some fans did receive a business card in the mail with a QR code that brings you to the band's website and lists the phone number +1 229-798-9477. Calling the number will let you hear a telemarketer-like message announcing ZIRP! as "the future of alternative multimedia entertainment." There's also mentions of wanting to "challenge assumptions," "create entire new categories," and "think on a global scale."
