Doechii, Cardi B, and GloRilla among "lasting" female rappers according to Eve

During an appearance on the Joe and Jada Podcast with Fat Joe and Jadakiss, the rapper reflected on her career and shared her thoughts on the current state of female rap, agreeing with Fat Joe’s view that while many women are thriving commercially, only a few will have a lasting impact.

Weighing in on the debate, she responded to Fat Joe’s claim that many women in the genre are making money but few have “sustainability." Eve agreed, adding, “I think some of them are [sustainable] … but I don’t think it’s going to be a lot.” She named Doechii as one to watch, alongside Cardi B, GloRilla, and Latto.

Eve’s comments come months after Nicki Minaj publicly praised her as a trailblazer for women in rap, crediting her for bringing “unapologetic talent & charisma” to both music and film.
