The president with a Diet Coke button in his Oval Office is now claiming he has made the US version of Coca-Cola great again, allegedly.

Following Donald Trump’s claims that he got Coca-Cola to agree to use cane sugar in their beverages, the soft drink giant has responded, and it doesn’t seem like they are on the same page as Felon 47.

On his lame social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote on Wednesday, “I have been speaking to Coca-Cola about using REAL Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States, and they have agreed to do so. I’d like to thank all of those in authority at Coca-Cola. This will be a very good move by them — You’ll see. It’s just better!”

The soft drink giant has not confirmed this decision and has responded to a comment under a Fox News report, writing, “All Coca-Cola brand products are wholesome beverages manufactured in compliance with the federal law.”

For those unfamiliar with it, outside the United States, international versions of Coca-Cola are made with cane sugar. In contrast, in the US, high-fructose corn syrup is used to sweeten the beverage.

Why Coca-Cola Uses High-Fructose Corn Syrup In The United States

The decision to use high-fructose corn syrup is based on agricultural subsidies and cost considerations. Newsweek reports the move to cane sugar, which is one of the pillars of quack and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s “MAHA agenda,” could come with “economic implications” and could harm US agriculture and lead to job loss, according to the Corn Refiners Association.

Coca-Cola and medical authorities also argue that, from a medical perspective, there is no significant difference between high-fructose corn syrup and cane sugar, as the ingredients are nutritionally similar.

So basically, whatever ingredients go in the can, soda is still nutritionally bad for you.
