Drake Announces New “Not Like Us” Appeal That Will Definitely Work This Time

Maybe Drake is being blackmailed by his lawyers, or maybe he just has a fetish for public humiliation, but the rap star has announced yet another “Not Like Us” legal maneuver, filing an appeal to revive his suit against UMG and Kendrick Lamar after it was dismissed by a judge earlier this month.

Via Billboard, Drake is again making sure we all remember the song that called him a “certified pedophile,” this time with a vague filing promising an appeal, but no actual details. At this pace, the appeal process is expected to stretch a year or more. That may sound like a long time, but we might be underestimating Drake. With enough legal maneuvering, the 39-year-old rapper could still be taking the same L in his 50s.

Whether he likes it or not — and again, he seems to like it — Drake and his representatives will be spending plenty of time in court in the coming months. Earlier this week, Drake was named a co-defendant in a class-action lawsuit against an online casino for his role in advertising (the suit argues, illegally) to people who may become addicted to gambling.
