Insomniac Founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella said he plans to shut down the Strip the day before EDC Las Vegas for a “techno parade” called World Party.
No shortage of fanfare helps build anticipation for EDC Las Vegas each year, and that especially rings true in the months leading up to the world-famous festival’s 30th anniversary celebration. Organizers have announced the full lineup for the gathering set to take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from May 15-17, giving anyone still on the fence no fewer than 247 reasons to attend.
Insomniac shared the bill through its annual Music Through Music Lineup Reveal livestream, inviting fans to decipher each stage’s lineup by listening to a frenetic megamix comprised of tracks by its performers. To kick things off, CEO Pasquale Rotella often shares exclusive info with the audience. This year, he announced plans to shut down part of the Las Vegas Strip at 7:30pm on Thursday, May 14 — the day before EDC — to throw a “techno parade” called World Party. Rotella declined to comment further on the outing.
But the EDC Las Vegas 2026 lineup was, of course, the main attraction. This year’s reveal started with the cosmicMEADOW megamix, which consisted of music by melodic bass maestro Seven Lions, rising dance-pop band Confidence Man, techno starlet VTSS, and breakthrough house music talent Jackie Hollander.
Not all stages feature as wide a variety of music styles. bassPOD looks to live up to its name, billing dubstep artists like HEYZ and Eptic b2b Space Laces alongside drum and bass mainstays like Hybrid Minds and Culture Shock. On the opposite end of the dance music spectrum, trance fans will get to bliss out to acts like Paul Van Dyk, Sarah de Warren, Ilan Bluestone, and Innellea.
Meanwhile, stereoBLOOM caters to the house heads courtesy of performers like Sidney Charles b2b Bushbaby, Chris Lorenzo, CID, and Luuk van Dijk. Techno lovers will flock to neonGARDEN as always, enticed by DJ sets by the likes of Frankie Bones, KI/KI, KETTAMA, and Peggy Gou.
circuitGROUNDS and kineticFIELD each provide a platform for the biggest names on the EDC Las Vegas 2026 lineup. The former bills artists like Nico Moreno, Sammy Virji, and Tiësto, while the latter — which serves as the mainstage — showcases talent like John Summit, Charlotte de Witte, FISHER, and Kaskade.
Rotella and company also revealed that the 2026 theme will be Kinetic Journey. The majority of the total of 16 music areas will feature new production elements, and Insomniac Radio will be live reporting from the event site for the first time this year.
The first Electric Daisy Carnival took place in Los Angeles in 1997; it took its name from a 1991 gathering organized by Stephen “Mr. Koolaid” Hauptfuhr. In the present day, the 540,000-strong festival is arguably the crown jewel of Insomniac, the multinational event promoter that Rotella founded in 1993.
