Buzzy English rockers DITZ have unleashed their new single, “Don Enzo Magic Carpet Salesman,” a nine-minute, three-part noise rock extravaganza that’s a show for your ears and heart muscles alike. Out now digitally and available on 12-inch vinyl beginning November 28th via City Slang, the single also includes a B-side called “Kalimba Song.”
In a statement, vocalist C.A. Francis said “Don Enzo Magic Carpet Salesman” “reflects my frustration with AI art — the first part reacting to the issue, the second written from the AI’s perspective, and the final section representing the last gasp of real art before being overwhelmed by artificial output.”
Meanwhile, the B-side comes from a less heady framework as it was crafted during a “hungover writing session at Brighton’s 17b studio with Jack and Sam Evans,” according to Francis. From that start, the track then “grew out of layering random sounds while listening to Portishead and Massive Attack.”
If you’ve somehow made it out of 2025 without hearing of DITZ, you’ve clearly been missing out under that rock of yours. The band — with Francis joined by guitarists Anton Mocock and Jack Looker, drummer Sam Evans, and bassist Caleb Remnant — formed in 2017 “after a shared revelation at a METZ show.” Since said awakening, they’ve toured the world over, gained sizable attention from various indie publications, and released two extra solid albums, 2022’s The Great Regression and this past January’s Never Exhale.
The band will have copies of the 12-inch on sale as they tour across the UK and Europe for the remainder of this year (alongside a handful of dates for February 2026). Check out that itinerary below.
